You may fish anywhere in Volusia Co and Including Brevard Co Only south end of the lagoon, No crossing Haulover Canal. No fishing east of the start of the rocks in Ponce Inlet.
You may launch your vessel from any boat ramp in Volusia Co. You must weigh in by boat at “The Fishing Store” - 200 Boatyard - New Smyrna Beach FL. Lines in the water at 7am. Check in opens at 12pm and closes at 3pm SHARP. At the Captains Meeting when you register, your team will be assigned a Poker Chip with the teams boat number on the chip. Every boat must turn the poker chip when their team arrives at the weigh in and must be given to the official at the dock that checks you in by no later than 3pm. If you do not have this chip turned in by 3pm, your team will be disqualified. At the Captains Meeting the Tournament Director will give the official time off his/her phone, this time will be the official time clock for the tournament.
This will be a Redfish Tournament, consisting of the two largest combined weight of Redfish, with in the legal slot size of 18” - 27”, weighed in per team. There will be only one official measuring board. This board will be at the captains meeting for you to review. You must obey all FWC Rules and Regualations of the State of Florida.
Teams will consist of up to three anglers per boat. No more than three line wet per team at any given time. Each Vessel must posses at least an 18 gallon live well with pump or air on their vessel. All vessels must contain all valid USCG safety equipment. No fish may be altered in any way, whether intentionally or naturally. The tournament director has the right to refuse any fish he/she feels is abnormal whether it is tails, fins, body, etc. There will be an 1 pound penalty for each dead fish that is weighed in. As it is our goal to live release all Redfish in this tournament. If the case of a tie, the weigh slips will have the time each team weighed in, the first team to weigh in will determine the winner. This is a live bait or articfical bait tournament only. You may catch or purchase your bait before tournament hours only. You must fish with hook and line on a convential rod and reel. No snagging, spearing, treble hooks or mulitple hooks.
Please show respect to all other tournament anglers and recreational anglers at all times. No fishing with in 75 yards of other anglers at anchor, powerpole, trolling motor in the down position or while an angler is on his/hers poling platform, unless waved in by an angler. After the boat is launched, anglers may not get out of their boats unless of an emergency. If your boat breaks down durning the tournament, you are allowed to be towed in by another angler in the tournament or non tournament angler but fish must be kept on separate boats at all times. You also must have your team chip turned in by 3pm to an official at the dock.
This tournament is subject to a polygraph test for the top three postions. Any angler has the right to protest. If you do, you must submit in writing with a payment of $500 to the tournament director. Hooked for a Cure has the sole right to refuse entry to any angler at his/hers discretion.
